Enhanced Performance
Forticept Polymer Complex is engineered to improve the efficacy of both conventional pesticides and biopesticides by helping active ingredients remain effective for longer periods. By reducing the volatility of certain botanical compounds and improving their retention on treated surfaces, the technology can enhance product performance while allowing effective use at significantly lower application rates.
From Innovation to Market
One of the first commercial applications of the Forticept® Polymer Complex is GUARDA®, a next-generation biofungicide formulated with a biochemical active ingredient derived from Thymus vulgaris (thyme). By combining the natural antifungal properties of thyme extract with our proprietary polymer technology, the formulation is designed to improve the retention and stability of the active ingredient, helping provide longer-lasting protection against fungal and bacterial plant pathogens.
In late 2019, Lidan Inc. entered into a strategic partnership with BioSafe Systems, a recognized pioneer in the U.S. biopesticide industry with more than 25 years of experience developing sustainable crop protection solutions. Through this partnership, the technology was successfully commercialized under the GUARDA® brand and is now marketed and distributed throughout the United States via BioSafe Systems' established distribution network.
The successful launch of GUARDA® demonstrates how innovative formulation technology can enhance the performance of naturally derived active ingredients while supporting more sustainable approaches to crop protection.
EPA-Recognized Polymer Technology
Lidan Inc.'s proprietary Forticept Polymer Complex was approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2018 as a tolerance-exempt, minimum-risk inert ingredient under 40 CFR Part 180, reflecting its suitability for use in pesticide formulations under applicable EPA regulations.
